Genuine used Audi central locking vacuum pump with OEM number 8L0862257D, used on selected Audi A3 8L, A4 B5 and A6 C4 vehicles equipped with the corresponding pneumatic central locking system. This version is a VDO-manufactured central locking pump with integrated control electronics and was produced for vehicles with RF remote control and without the factory alarm system.
The unit generates and regulates the vacuum and pressure required to operate the vehicle’s central locking system. It works together with the electrical controls, pneumatic lines and individual door or boot locking actuators. Different versions from the 8L0862257 family may look almost identical but can have different electronics and equipment configurations, therefore the final letter of the OEM number is important when selecting a replacement.
