This LEAR switch module for the E46 provides the headlight rotary switch together with the front and rear fog light activation controls and the integrated lighting electronics, managing the exterior lighting circuits and interfacing with the body control system across all switch positions on the dashboard.
Malfunction of this module on the E46 can produce erratic or unresponsive headlight control, fog light activation faults, or lighting fault codes in the E46 BCM that persist until the faulty module is replaced with a correctly functioning unit.
