Combining radio signal amplification, an interference suppression trap circuit, and a 433.92 MHz remote receiver, this module allows the E38 and E39 to receive clear AM and FM radio, remain free of vehicle-generated electrical noise, and accept remote locking and EWS immobiliser signals from the key fob.
A faulty unit may cause degraded AM or FM reception, increased interference on radio bands, reduced key-fob range for central locking, or EWS-related fault codes in the control module.
