OEM part number 6942675. This is a genuine used, tested BMW E46 3 Series PDC (Parking Distance Control) module, removed from a donor vehicle and tested before dispatch.
The PDC control module is the processing unit for the parking distance warning system. It drives the ultrasonic sensors fitted to the front and/or rear bumpers, processes reflected echo signals to calculate the distance between the vehicle and nearby obstacles, and generates the graduated audible warning tone sequences — increasing in frequency as the gap closes — along with any visual display in the instrument cluster or iDrive screen. The module communicates with the body electronics and instrument cluster over the vehicle CAN bus and can distinguish between multiple obstacles simultaneously at different sensors.
Parking sensors completely inactive when reversing or parking, no audible warning tones produced, a constant beep or single sustained tone without an obstacle present, a PDC fault message or warning symbol on the instrument cluster, or intermittent sensor activation only on certain corners of the vehicle.
Good used condition. Verify the OEM number before ordering — PDC modules are vehicle-specific. Professional installation is recommended. On most BMW models the PDC control module must be coded to the vehicle VIN after fitting; without this step the system may fail to activate or generate false fault codes. 14-day returns accepted on unmodified parts.
